SCOTLAND TOUR 2009
Aberdeen

Most small photos may be enlarged with a CLICK of the cursor.

Visit Aberdeen on the first Sunday in August and join in Aberdeen's Tartan Day - a celebration of the rich colourful culture and heritage that exists in the region. From the sound of massed pipe bands, re-enactments, traditional music, family history, walking trails to a traditional Scottish market showcasing the best in local food, arts and crafts, Aberdeen's Tartan Day has something for everyone. An annual commemoration for William Wallace occurs on the same day this year.

After the parade, there was sufficient free time to visit the Marine Museum, a street market and musicians. The description of Provost Ross's house at the museum may be enlarged to full size for easy reading.

At last, the tables had table cloths and there was room to move around. An attempt has been made in this section to identify members of the Canadian Massed Pipe and Drum Band and supporters at the tables. I apologize for any errors.
